Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has assured Imo people of adequate security during Saturday’s governorship and House of Assembly elections.
Okorocha also urged all who have reached the approved voting age to come out en masse on Saturday and vote for candidates of their choice without fear of molestation.
The governor said that the appropriate steps had been taken to ensure that the State would remain peaceful during the Governorship and House of Assembly elections on Saturday.
Okorocha said that the security agencies in the state had set the necessary machineries in motion to ensure the protection of lives and property and to also ensure hitch-free elections.
He urged the electorate to conduct themselves in an orderly manner during the elections and advised parents against allowing their children to be recruited as thugs by heartless and ambitious politicians in the State.
