The state commissioner for information, tourism and public utilities, Chief Vitalis Ajumbe disclosed this yesterday in a press statement after an executive council meeting.
He stated that by the statement government had directed traders in these markets to move out of the affected places to their new locations  between now and 30th of September 2016.
The commissioner said that at the expiration of the order, government would not have any option than to commence demolition of the markets
The new official date for the relocation of Ekeukwu Owerri market came following the refusal of both traders and the people of Owerri to adhere to government’s directives.
