Imo, Bayelsa, Kogi gov’ship: ActionAid urges INEC to improve on performance

Ahead of the November 11, governorship elections in Kogi, Bayelsa and Imo states, the ActionAid Nigeria (AAN) has advised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) not to repeat the lapses of the 2023 general elections.

The AAN Country Director, Ene Obi, made the call yesterday in Abuja at a dissemination workshop on enhancing logistic delivery and citizens’ partnership in Nigerian Elections (En-logic) project.

Ene, represented by the AAN Director of Programmes, Hajiya Suweiba Muhammad Dankabo, said the effective and efficient deployment of logistics was very critical to the successful conduct of the general elections.

She said, “We have seen the application of the BIVAS and it was not much different from what we had been experiencing.”
