Abdulsalami was a mechanic in Imo State who was killed on Friday in Umunna town of Okigwe LGA by suspected members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOP) while he was trying to fix a faulty truck for not obeying the sit-at-home order that has been enforced in Imo and Enugu states.

The wife of the deceased, Fatima Manor, told City & Crime that, “In the afternoon of Friday, his elder brother who is our neighbour was receiving a call. The call signalled that all was not well with my husband. Everyone around was crying. I asked them the reason behind the crying and they told me that my husband was not feeling fine.”
