Imo APC chieftain rejects zoning, backs North for 2023 presidency

A former Commissioner for Information, Tourism and Public Utilities in Imo State, Prof. Vitalis Orikeze Ajumbe, has said it is not the right of the Igbo to produce the nation’s president in 2023, and urged them to stop clamouring for zoning and rotational presidency.

Ajumbe, who was also a former commissioner for Internally Generated Revenue in Imo, told Daily Trust on Thursday in Abuja that President Muhammadu Buhari did not emerge as president through zoning.

He said Senator Rochas Okorocha contested the APC presidential ticket with the president and lost.
