Imo accreditation underway amidst lapses

Accreditation is underway at CentralSchool, Omuma, booth 006, 005, Oru East LGA.

But presiding officer Harrison Tifason has complained election officials resorted to manual accreditation because card readers failed to work. 

At Omumma court hall, booth 002, accreditation has not started, though materials have arrived, and there was tension there after it emerged the APC had more than one polling agent.
The former chairman of APC Prince Marshal Okaforanyanwu raised alarm over strange faces of people from the Imo government house as observers in Oru East LGA.

A Daily Trust correspondent in Oru East has seen large numbers of security agencies, including army, police and civil defenders, cordoning large areas.

However, voter turnout is reported to be low in some units visited.

Residents have been off to market, and many others have opened shops because restriction on movement in the areas of supplementary elections has not been strictly enforced.
