Nigerian international and Lobi Stars forward, Barnabas Nanen Imenger jnr, has hailed the impact of the club’s néw players who have posted five-star performances in the ongoing NPFL season.
Imenger, who has captained the team this season against Rivers United, Rangers and Bayelsa United applauded club vice-chairman, Dominic Iorfa, and Head coach, Mohammed Baba Ganaru, for making strategic recruitments that have impacted positively on the team.
He was quoted by Lobi Stars media as saying “Kumaga Suur and Joseph Atule have been amazing. They have shown readiness to learn and are working hard too.
“I am pleased to see their contributions as someone close to them on-and-off the pitch.
“In addition, the presence of experienced players like Emmanuel Daniel, Abba Umar, Kalu Orji, Christian Madu and Sunday Chinedu have made the team solid.
“This squad has accelerated to good momentum and it’s the tonic for impressive results coming from our games.
“Overall, a change in mindset, unity, hardwork and God has created a new Lobi Stars capable of chasing titles this season,” said Imenger.
However, Lobi Stars suffered 2-1 loss yesterday at Wikki Tourists even as one of the new boys, Abba Umar equalised Guda Mohammed’s opening goal.
Despite the loss, Lobi Stars are still topping Group B with 20 points from eight matches.
Abia Warriors missed the chance to topple the “pride of Benue’ after their 1-0 loss at Doma United.
