Imams counsel Muslims on COVID-19 vaccine

Muslims have been urged to shun the propaganda that the COVID-19 vaccine is un-Islamic or designed to reduce the Muslim population.

Co-founder of Interfaith Mediation Centre in Kaduna, Imam Nurain Ashafa and the Chief Imam of Al-Habibiyyah Islamic Society, Ustaz Musbau Raji, made the call in Kaduna while speaking at a stepped-down training on COVID-19 for members of the society.

Ashafa said there are adequate guidelines for Muslims in the Qur’an and other Islamic texts on pandemics, adding that vaccines, which are preventive measures against diseases, are allowed in Islam.
