A member of the House of Representatives, Adams Jagaba (PDP, Kaduna), has dispelled rumors that he has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Jagaba, in a statement he signed on Tuesday, described the insinuation that he is no longer a member of the PDP as “lies from the pit of hell being bandied by merchants of mischief,” adding that “PDP is home.”
“Permit me to assure my supporters and all members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), that I remain committed to the ideals of the party.
“With my campaign team, which is still intact, we shall work assiduously for the success of the party and our candidates at all levels so that they emerge victorious in the 2019 general elections.
“Any insinuation, from any quarters, that I have defected, or have the intention of defecting from PDP, must be taken as lies from the pit of hell being bandied by merchants of mischief, and should be ignored,” Jagaba insisted.
He used the opportunity to congratulate Senator Danjuma Laah, winner of the Kaduna South PDP Senatorial primary election held on October 3, even as he also acknowledged the courage and maturity displayed by his teeming supporters whom he said, conducted themselves with candour and dignity throughout the campaigns.
