President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday promised to remain consistent and steadfast in his pursuit for a better Nigeria.

Buhari spoke during the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign rally held at Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi, Benue State.

“I’m going to be consistent and steadfast. Anybody who steals will be prosecuted and their loot collected,” he said.

The president, who alighted from his car at the venue of the rally at exactly 12:24pm amidst cheers from the mammoth crowd who momentarily overwhelmed security agents following “Sai baba” screams which rented the air, urged the Benue people to vote all APC candidates in the coming elections.

He thanked the Benue people for the rousing welcome he received, emphasizing that he was convinced that they believe in what his administration was doing and urged them to further support the APC.

“We’re doing much better now,” he posited.

The president further explained that on the economy, his administration empowered the farmers by making fertilisers available such that the country could now boast of food security even as young men have all gone back to the land without any regrets in the past three years.

Buhari, while speaking on corruption, stressed that his administration have taken many to court and their belongings would be sold and reinvested into the economy for a better Nigeria.
