I’m a beautiful woman, says Mummy GO

Evangelist Olufunmilayo Adebayo, the preacher popularly known as Mummy GO on social media, says she is beautiful.

She said this in an interview granted to BBC Pidgin on her controversial topics and stance on Christianity.

Among the issues that have generated outrage on social media are Adebayo’s position on women who use make up, the love of football and so on.

The preacher denied many of the things attributed to her, saying the most of the trending videos had been doctored.

But she maintained her stand that women who use make up would go to hell fire.

Asked to buttress this or any of her controversial points with the scripture, Adebayo said, “Deuteronomy 22:5 says no woman shall wear what belongs to a man and no man should wear what belongs to a woman; it’s there in the bible.

“I don’t think God made a mistake by making us the way we are. I am beautiful this way. By the time we start adding make up… I’m not the only one who has preached against make up. Many people have called me to say, ‘Evangelist Funmi, you are right. The Lord called me and said, ‘If you want to make heaven, stop using make up.”

Mummy G.O shot into limelight after viral videos and memes of her surfaced on the internet.
