The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ilorin branch, has said the historical conferment of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) on Barrister Ronke Adeyemi will revolutionise the practice among the womenfolk in the jurisdiction.
The branch chairman, Muhammed Kosemani, who spoke with City & Crime, said the feat is now a challenge to her colleagues.
Adeyemi, from Ekiti State, has been practising in Ilorin and is the first female to achieve the feat in the bar’s 57-year-old, history since inception in 1967.
She was among the latest set of lawyers inaugurated as SANs on Monday by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun.
