Illicit drugs fueling insecurity, says ONSA

The Office of the National Security Adviser says the use of illicit drugs by youths is fueling insecurity.

It stressed the need to strengthen the relationship with National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) to curb the trend.

The National Coordinator, National Counter-Terrorism Centre, Office of the National Security Adviser, Rear Admiral Yaminu Musa (rtd), stated this in Abuja while playing host to the management of NAFDAC.

In a statement on Wednesday by Ozoya Imohimi, the Director of Strategic Communications, NCTC, Musa said the collaboration would be extended to other MDAs to tame the menace headlong.
