Prince Abubakar Audu, a former governor of Kogi State and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the November 21 governorship election in the state, has reiterated his pledge to revive the morbid Ajaokuta Steel Rolling Company with funds from the capital market if voted into power.
Audu made the pledge in Abuja, while receiving over 100 Okun youths from Mopa-muro Local Government Area of the state, who paid him a solidarity visit ahead of the forthcoming election.
He assured that a fresh life will be breathed into the company soon.
Basking on his presidential connection and closeness to the top hierarchy of the ruling APC, Audu said his administration’s determination to address the problem of youths unemployment would be achieved through revitalisation of the steel company.
“The APC government will work assiduously towards ensuring that the company is revived, because it has the capacity to absorb 90 percent of workforce of the state.”
