I’ll complete all projects before hand over – Okorocha

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has promised to complete all projects he started before May 29 next year.

The governor, speaking in Owerri, said that most of the projects are 90 per cent completed, saying they the rest 10 per cent will be completed before he quits office.

According to him, the expectations of the people of the state have far being superseded as more than 80 per cent of the economic life of the people have been affected.

Giving a score card of his administration, the governor said that he has built over 550 classroom blocks in both primary and secondary schools with school enrolment jumping from mere 270,000 to over one million.

The governor said that he has built six universities, four polytechnics and two colleges of education, including one College of health technology.

Okorocha said that he has built 30 ultra modern hospitals with one designated as mother and child hospital, stressing that he has embarked on the next stage of urban renewal by completing road projects in the metropolis.

He said, ” Teachers are now happy because they are being paid as at when due while civil servants, for the first time in history, now receive their salaries in advance. We have also set aside N5 billion to settle arrears of pensions.”

The governor said that Imo people will forever remember him for his remarkable achievements.
