IGP promotes 9 police officers in Nasarawa

Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police, Lawal Shehu Batsari, has decorated nine police officers who were offered automatic promotions by the Inspector General of Police,  Mr Solomon Arase, for a wonderful parade of the sentry guards of the command during his recent visit to state.
The IGP who was impressed by the wonderful parade directed that they should be given automatic promotion to their next rank.
In his remark, CP Shehu Batsari commended the IGP for finding them worthy for promotion, adding that his action would spur others to be proactive in their assignment.
“To whom  much is given, much is expected, you should be forthright, honest and dedicated to your service in protecting the lives and properties of law-abiding citizens of this country and bring purposeful leadership to the force,” he advised.
He warned the officers against corruption, urging them to pilot their activities within the armbit of the laws governing the Nigeria Police Force.
“We believe that promotion is an incentive of encouraging officers to do more in terms of service to their father land.Those promoted have worked very hard in their respective fields and in their respective positions,” he said.
The promoted police men comprises  seven corporals promoted to sergeant and  two constables promoted to corporal.
