The Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Ibrahim Idris has assured of adequate security during the Eid-el-fitr celebration.
A statement from the force spokesman, DCP Don Awunah, said yesterday that the IG assured the nation that the police would provide adequate security with robust and proactive patrols during and after the celebration.
Awunah said Idris also ordered all zonal headquarters and Commissioners of Police to ensure adequate security in their areas of responsibility during the celebration, warning that officers should be deployed evenly to cover the highways, worship and recreation centres.
