The proprietor of Mark Mentors Basketball Club, Igoche Mark, said his focus is to revive the dead domestic basketball in Nigeria by organising championships across the nation.

Mark made this known to newsmen at the weekend at the ongoing Sarkin Daji Foundation Basketball Tournament in Doma, Nasarawa State organised by Mo Foundation.

“Let me again categorically state our resolve in the New Face of Basketball is to revive the already dead domestic basketball in Nigeria.

“Our focus is to develop the game that was killed because of maladministration, and I commend Mohammed Shehu for kick-starting the revival,” Mark stated.

In his response, the founder of Mo Foundation, Mohammed Shehu, thanked Igoche for bringing together like minds who are determined to rescue basketball in Nigeria.

“I want to thank Mark Igoche for bringing people with the same interest with the sole aim of rescuing basketball.

“Basketball that has been functional before is now dead, but we are determined to rescue the game,” he added.
