The Igbo and Yoruba communities in Borno State have backed the APC joint presidential ticket of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shettima.
Other ethnic communities, including Tiv, Idoma, Igala, Ebira, Egan and Tanganle, also declared support for the APC candidates.

Speaking at the weekend at a solidarity rally for the APC vice presidential candidate, Shettima, in Maiduguri, Chief Ugochuckwu Egwudike, the Patron, Ohanaeze APC Support Group, promised to mobilise resources to ensure all APC candidates emerged victorious at the polls.
Governor Babagana Zulum, who was represented by the state APC Chairman, Ali Dalori, thanked all community leaders for their support and assured that Tinubu/Kashim would be fair to all Nigerians.
He promised that Zulum’s administration would continue to treat all non-indigenes equally.
