Igali decries late computation of results

The president of Nigerian Wrestling Federation, Daniel Igali, has decried the delay in releasing results and updating of medals table by the Main Organising Committee (MOC) of the 2022 National Sports Festival.

Speaking to our correspondent, the Bayelsa State sports commissioner said it will not augur well for the competition status if results are not updated within 24 hours.

“As I speak to you, Bayelsa has won 58 gold medals, 36 silver and 50 bronze. We have over 140 medals but what is reflected is 16 gold medals. I want the MOC to promptly update the medals table.

“I call on the authorities to let the federations know what is required of them. Within 24 hours, the results table should be updated. It does not tell well of us if after almost 7 days into the festival that the results we are seeing is of Day 2,” he said.
