A human rights lawyer, Emmanuel Ogebe, yesterday said that Nigeria is playing with its food survival following the large number of people living in different displaced camps across the country.
Ogebe spoke when he led foreign partners to some of the Benue indigenes taking refuge at the Abagana Internally Displaced Peoples’ (IDPs) camp near Makurdi along the Lafia Road in Guma LGA of Benue State.
Ogebe, a Benue indigene based in the United States, said, “Nigeria is playing with its food security and food survival. It is our desire that our people be rehabilitated and allowed to go back home to their farming so that they can feed the nation.”
