The Chairman of Idoma Council of Chief and Elders in Maiduguri, Comrade Moses Markus gave the advice in an interview with Kanem Trust, saying they should maintain their cordial relationship which existed for many years with other communities.

Comrade Markus who is contesting for the traditional title of Ad`Idoma of Borno observed that no meaningful development will be achieved when people engage in conflict with one another.

He solicited the votes of Idomas to enable him emerge victorious at the forthcoming election into the office of the new Ad`Idoma, noting that with the long experience he had in the traditional system of leadership, he is capable enough to rule and manage the office perfectly.

He disclosed that the office of Ad`Idoma which was the father of all the Idoma in Borno will serve as a link between the tribe in the state and the Iche of Idoma in Benue state.

If elected, the candidate pledged to preserve and protect the cultural heritage as well as the interest of his people. He expressed total support for the struggle and agitation of Idoma community for the creation of Apa state.
