Procurement officers found to be involved in corrupt practices will be handed over to the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission for prosecution.
Director-General, Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), Mamman Ahmadu, issued the warning in Lagos during the 2022 procurement capacity training programme into the procurement cadre for parastatals, institutions, commissions and agencies of the Federal Government.
He urged procurement officers to adhere strictly to procurement processes in their various organisations as their actions would determine the success of their ministries, departments and agencies.
“BPP will not take lightly to complaints on officers found to be involved in underhand practices,” he said.
