The Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) has sensitised staff of the Nigeria Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) on compliance with anti-corruption guidelines.
Daily Trust reports that after the programme, ICPC would inaugurate an Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) in the commission.
Speaking during the sensitization in Abuja, the acting director, System Study and Review Department, ICPC, Adebayo Obaniyi, noted that ACTU, an initiative of ICPC, was approved by the Federal Executive Council (FEC) in 2021 to serve as an in-house check mechanism for curbing corruption and building ethical institution.
“ACTU is the ICPC engagement platform for the public sector: ministries, departments and agencies of government,” he said.
