A reliable source at the anti-corruption agency said they were picked up in connection with allegations of misappropriation of N15 million meant for constituency projects which were allegedly never executed.
The source stated that the Clerk of the House, Mr. Demola Badejo, is one of the officials quizzed by the commission’s office in Ibadan.
Others include Hon. Adekunle Adegboyega, member representing Ewekoro Local Government and the accountant of the House, Mrs. Agnes Alawode.
According to the source, after making useful statements, the officials were released on bail but directed to report for further questioning on Monday, June 29, 2009.
When contacted, ICPC’s Resident Consultant on Media, Mr. Folu Olamiti declined comments.
