The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) has built a 350-capacity lecture theatre for Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.
Unveiling the theatre yesterday, ICAN National President, Mr. Dicon Titus Soetan, said the contribution of piece of land by ABU motivated the actualisation of the project, which was part of ICAN’s corporate social responsibilities.
Vice Chancellor of ABU, Professor Ibrahim Garba, said ICAN and ABU share common objective of ensuring and promoting integrity, excellence and professionalism.
Garba, represented by Prof Kabir Bala, Deputy VC, Administration, described accounting profession as specialisation built on trust.
The Head, Accounting Department, Dr. Salisu Abubakar, promised to make judicious use of the facility.
