Mr. Ibrahim Umar, the Managing Director/Chief Executive, of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), on Tuesday bowed out of office after 10 years in office.
He had served two terms of five years each at the helm of NDIC.
A statement released by the Director, Communication and Public Affairs Department, Bashir Nuhu, indicated that the Executive Director (Operations), Prince Aghatise Erediauwa exited the service.
Ibrahim was first appointed as MD/CE in 2010. His tenure was subsequently renewed by President Muhammadu Buhari in January 2016, along with that of Prince Erediauwa, at the conclusion of their first term in office.
It noted that under Ibrahim’s leadership, the NDIC experienced tremendous transformation towards the robust implementation of its mandate and public policy objectives.
