Ibom Air partners tour operators to boost connectivity

Ibom Air has deepened partnership with tour operators under the aegis of the Nigerian Association of Tour Operators (NATOP) to boost connectivity.

The Director of Airline Services at Ibom Air, Amaka Echetabu, at the NATOP National Conference and Annual General Meeting in Ilorin, Kwara State, reiterated the airline’s commitment to fostering collaborative partnerships with tour operators for the growth of the industry.

She emphasised the pivotal role of synergy between airlines and tour operators, saying such relationships were critical for enhancing tourism potential and connectivity across Nigeria.

She said, “The relationship between airlines and tour operators cannot be overemphasised,” while underscoring Ibom Air’s strategic initiatives aimed at supporting the growth of Nigeria’s tourism sector through engaging with tour operators.

The Group Manager, Marketing and Communication at Ibom Air, Mrs Aniekan Essienette, in a panel session tagged: “Tourism as a catalyst for progress, peace and partnership”, said the airline would support the growth of tourism in Nigeria.

In a related development, the Chief Pilot of Ibom Air, Captain Ruth Adebanwo, who spoke at the STEM Africa Fest (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Africa Festival) held at the Landmark Events Centre in Lagos, urged young professionals to strive for excellence.

Adebanwo spoke during a panel session themed: “Empowering Girls in STEM Careers: Strategies for Success”.

She challenged stereotypes, urging the attendees to break away from outdated beliefs that certain professions were exclusively for specific genders.
