The IBB Golf club will next month host the 2016 edition of the Junior Open Championship for young golfers who are free to register for the event scheduled to tee off on August 17.
The Junior Open Championship is organised by the Ladies Section of the IBB Golf and Country Club and the aim is to give the youth the opportunity to develop their skills in the sport.
According to the organizing committee, participants are expected to pay a discounted N 9000 entry fee per player, which covers accommodation for three nights, beginning from the said August 17 through to 18th and 19th.
The entry fee will also cater for feeding, goodie bag, transportation and caddy fees.
Participants are expected to arrive the venue on August 17 and depart on August 20.
August 17 is reserved for arrival and cocktail, while the tournament will hold on August 18 and 19, with the presentation of prizes also holding on the last day.
The Junior Championship is one of the developmental programmes instituted by the Ladies Section and over the years it has produced proficient players for the country.
The section said its ultimate aim is to produce Olympic standard players for the country through its youth development initiatives.
