“I won’t deport non-indigenes from Lagos if elected” – Jimi Agbaje

‎At a kick-off rally in Ikeja, Agbaje ‎said as parts of his policy thrust if he eventually become Governor of the state, shall be to provide general welfare to the people as well as well non deportation of non indigenes.

“I am assuring Lagosians that when eventually am swear into office, their general welfare shall be a priority. We will neither collect dues from market women nor shall we converts their markets to shopping complexes.

“Part of our policy thrust shall also be non deportation of non-indigenes. Our government will value the your contribution to the development of the state. We shall welcome them. We will work with them and we won’t deport them,” Agbaje said.

The governorship candidate assured indigenous people in Ibeju Lekki, Badagry, Epe, Ikorodu, Alimosho among others, that his administration will return all illegally acquired lands to them. He said that is the only way justice and fairness could have been enthroned.

Earlier in his address, former Deputy Chairman, PDP South, ‎Chief Olabode George, said a time has come for Lagosians to flush out the APC leadership which he accused of milking the state dry through tax various collection and illegal property acquisition.

‎”Lagos is today own by one man. One man who owns Alpha Beta that collects 10 percent of Lagos tax. One man who acquired former Lagos Island Secretariat in Ikoyi. One man who took over the property of Lagos Nursing hostel. One man who demolished Falomo Shopping Complex for his personal interest,” George said.

Similarly, the former Minister of State for Defence, Senator, Musliu Obanikoro urged Lagosians to support the candidacy of Agbaje whom he said has the Midas touch to change the face of Lagos State for real.

“This man does not have a godfather. He is his own man. He has seen it all. He has an humble beginning as a small scale operator to build a multi-billion pharmaceutical company. A vote for him is a vote to liberate Lagos,” Obanikoro said. ‎
