Bagudu, in an interview with newsmen at his residence yesterday in Birnin Kebbi, said his major challenge is the lack of confidence by the people on government.
He said, “There is a disconnect between government and the people. We shall also give priority to reforming the people by creating job opportunities for our teaming unemployed youths.
“We shall also reform our education sector, health sector and attracting economic opportunity from the vast mineral deposits in the State.”
He said his victory at the polls is victory for the entire people of the state.
“It is the people that came out to cast their votes and during our campaign, anywhere we went to everybody including children, adults and the elderly showed great courage in electing government of their choice.
“Therefore, I am rejoicing and thanking the entire people of the state for their courage. I don’t believe that I floored any candidate in this election because in every contest, one person must emerge victorious and this election is the decision of Kebbi people,” he said and called on other candidates to join hands with him to work for the people.
“What the people who elected us want is good governance that will improve socio-economic development of the state,” he added.
