I will restore Kogi’s lost glory – AAC candidate

The candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) for the November 11, 2023, governorship election in Kogi State, Mr Austin Abu Achimugu, has said that he will restore the state’s lost glory if given the mandate.

He disclosed this in Lokoja at the weekend while addressing the stakeholders and supporters of the party during his official unveiling ceremony as the flag bearer of the party, saying he had what it took to revamp the “ailing economy” of the state.

Achimugu, who was unveiled alongside his running mate, Deji Bamidele, noted that the state had been ripped off of its prosperity, adding there was the urgent need to take it back from the hands of its plunderers to join the comity of great states in the country.

He said, “Our administration will be people-oriented and will jointly move them out of the current poverty level. Kogi State needs structural adjustment, and my administration would also ensure a conducive environment for the youths to make an impact on governance. I am prepared to take Kogi out of its woes.”
