The Kano State Deputy Governor and the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, has vowed to build on the good legacies left by the state’s past governors: Ibrahim Shekarau, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and the incumbent, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, if elected in the 2023 polls.

Gawuna said this yesterday during a meeting with the leadership of the Kano chapter of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF).

He said the successes of the past administrations in infrastructural development, health, education and agriculture needed to be strengthened.

He further said if elected his administration would shun nepotism and focus on professionalism, transparency, inclusivity and accountability and engage experts in governance.

The Chairman of the forum, Dr Farouk Umar, said the essence of the interactive session was to discuss with the candidates what they intended to do for the state if elected.
