A driver who was arrested with five bags of Indian hemp, Nwankwo Afamefuna, has said that he was not aware of the content of the waybill found in his vehicle in Edo State.
He said he was given the consignment as a waybill at a park in Lagos State by someone who promised to pay him N10,000 if he delivered it.

The suspect, who was driving an Anambra State-bound commercial bus with registration number: ACA 934 ZP, was arrested by the police on the Benin-Lagos road.
The Edo State police spokesperson, Chidi Nwabuzor, said the police, while acting on credible information stormed the road, intercepted the consignment and arrested the driver.
