I thank all those who prayed for me, Rarara’s mother speaks

Hajiya Hauwa’u Adamu, mother of the famous Hausa musician, Dauda Adamu also known as Rarara, has expressed gratitude to all the people who devoted time and energy praying for her release while she was in captivity.

Accompanied by her son, Dauda Rarara in a video clip, Hajiya Hauwa’u said, “I thank all the Islamic scholars who devoted their time to pray for me while in captivity. I am short of words to express my gratitude to you all. I really appreciate you. I will not forget all the people that prayed for my return.”

On his part, Rarara said his mother insisted joining him in the video clip in order to extend her gratitude to all the people who directly or indirectly contributed to her safe return.

“I personally thank President Tinubu, his wife, Madam Remi Tinubu, the National Security Adviser Malam Nuhu Ribadu, and Senator Shehu Uba. I am also grateful to all the Islamic scholars that prayed for the safe return of my mother,” Rarara said.

Daily Trust reports that Hajiya Hauwa’u was freed by her abductors on Tuesday after spending 20 days in captivity.

She was picked in her residence in Kahutu village, Danja Local government of Katsina state by unknown gunmen who gained access into the house through the backyard.

Her abductors, Daily Trust learnt, demanded N900m ransom when they contacted a member of the family.
