Senate President Bukola Saraki has assured Nigerians that he has youthful zeal and political sagacity to make Nigeria’s economy work for the betterment of the citizenry.
He disclosed this on Wednesday when he visited Asaba in Delta state for the second time this month over his 2019 presidential ambition.
Saraki challenged Nigerians to vote a president with youthful capacity saying it was time to turn the country’s economy around such that the people would be positively impacted.
He added that Nigerians need a dedicated, focused, vibrant and capable president with the energy to deliver good dividends of democracy to the people.
The Senate President noted that the country could not afford to vote on the basis of sentiments, adding that the people need quality representation to cope with the new world order.
On restructuring, he stressed that it has become a priority for the country to require collective responsibility and a capable and competent executive leadership.
“It is time for us to have a president that will stand for us, there is a new order in the world toady, the “Asian Tigers” got there because they have visionary leaders.
“So, it is time for Nigerians to vote for that president, someone with energy, the youthfulness, capacity and political sagacity to run the country and make things work, it is not time to play with our votes.
“We must by this time make Nigeria work and it needs somebody who knows what is required, who must be able to speak that kind of language to attract investors to the country.
“I believe I can do that and I have the capacity and all it takes to turn this country around and make it work,” Saraki said.
