Nigerian Hip-Pop singer, Kingsley Okonkwo, popularly known as Kcee, has said he bought a flight ticket for Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, to bring him to Lagos.
The ‘Ojapiano’ and ‘Limpopo’ crooner added that he accommodated Iyanya for six years.
Kcee also disclosed that Enock Aghatise professionally known as Skiibii stood on his wings to stardom.
He made this known in a recent episode of Afrobeats Podcast, adding that he did not like to be self-conceited.

Kcee claimed he had a lot of his colleagues in the music industry but would not like to talk about it.
“I brought Iyanya to Lagos, I bought his first flight ticket. He stayed with me for six years in Lagos. I don’t talk about it,” Kcee said.
“I also brought Skibii to the music industry. Skibii is grateful to me for that till today. When I was recording ‘Ojapiano,’ Skibii was in the studio with me. He was a co-writer of the song. We visit each other always. We are still like father and son.
“When I saw Skibii I was like, ‘I love this guy. I’m going to work with him.’ Even when he wasn’t popping, I always tell him, ‘Look into my eyes, you’re gonna blow. I don’t know how, I don’t know when, but you are a star. So that gave him a lot of confidence.
“I am that guy that know how to identify talent. When I see it, I know. And I would support.”
Meanwhile, in his reaction to a viral clip of the interview on X, Iyanya attested to it by writing: “Yes, he did and I’m forever grateful.”
In the interview, Kcee also talked about Divine Ikubor also known as Rema, saying he is intentional and respectful.
He said, “First of all, I’ll give a big shout-out to him (Rema). Talented young man, intentional, focussed and he knows what he wants.
“Now, there was an interview I was doing, and they asked me among the young boys, who and who do I think are going to be there. The first person I mention was Rema.
“I was like Rema, Oxlade. I think I mentioned four names. At the end of the day, Rema just did exactly what I predicted in my heart.
“If you look at the young man, you would see that it’s not just about management or record label, he knows what he wants. And he’s so respectful. Like when I’m conversing with him one-on-one, no pretence (from him).”
