Former Super Eagles coach, Christian Chukwu, has debunked media reports making the rounds that he is dead.

In a chat with the former Green Eagles captain, Chukwu who recently clocked 70, said he was shocked and disappointed when he saw the news saying he had died.

“You people didn’t investigate the story.

“I don’t know why you people are doing this to me.

“I was surprised when I saw the paper and I asked myself, how come it was not investigated before being published.

“It’s not that you don’t have my number that you can’t reach me.

“You people should retract the story so that people will stop disturbing me.

“Help me amend it so I can rest,” he said.

He further thanked everyone who has either called or sent messages to confirm if he was indeed dead.

“I am telling them that I am alive and God is protecting me and I pray that those calling me and sending me messages, God will bless everyone,” he concluded.
