The Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (HYPPADEC) has unveiled the plan to build Police Mobile Barracks at Gashish district of Barikin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The community has suffered gunmen attacks where many lives were lost.
The HYPPADEC Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Abubakar Yelwa, while declaring the commencement of the project said the motive behind the building of the barracks was to ensure adequate security in the area and other parts of the State.
The MD, who was represented by the Director, Engineering and General Services, Eng. Ipilakyaa Daniel, said the commission would strictly supervise the project to ensure quality work.

Speaking at the event, Plateau State governor, Simon Lalong, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Danladi Atu, said the HYPPADEC intervention was in compliance with President Muhammadu Buhari’s plan to build the barrack.
The governor assured citizens of the state of his administration’s continued support to the security of their lives and properties.
