Huawei, SIPCOD upgrade e-library with 58 computers, others in Kaduna

As part of its corporate social responsibility, the management of Huawei Technologies in partnership with the Special Intervention Program on Communal and Societal Development (SIPCOD), a Non-profit organisation has upgraded and equipped an e-learning center with 58 state-of-the-art computers among others at the Sardauna Memorial College, Kaduna.

The gesture was to support the students with the required ICT skills to compete favourably in the global world after their secondary education.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman, SIDCOM, Engineer Murphy Dogun said the renovation process included plastering existing walls, changing the ceiling, changing all doors and windows, painting, providing Air-conditioners and fans, and providing a new power infrastructure to enable the school to connect to the relevant power source.

He hoped that the centre will provide access to the vast array of educational material available on the WorldWideWeb to the host community in a bid to enhance the quality of education and create opportunities for greatness to be unearthed.
