How we stabilised prices despite inflation — Italian firm

The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of LUCA Visage, Ayokunle Dina has said the company which represents SCAVOLINI, Italian designer of luxury kitchens, bathrooms, wardrobes and living-room systems in Nigeria has said the foreign exchange instability and inflation has affected its business.

However, speaking with our correspondent when the firm hosted the crème de la crème of the society for the 10th anniversary celebration of the SCAVOLINI brand in Nigeria, he said the company has been stabilising prices through local value addition.

He said, “There are certain categories where we also add some value here locally, and because of that we have been able to manage the price in that category. We do repairs, extensions, further customizations and so on.

“So yes everytime there is an economic situation for example, foreign exchange rate, inflation and so on, it would affect our business as all these are not made here, so it affects everyone evenly, but over the years we have figured out different ways to manage that.

Dina explained that the company is also using the anniversary celebration to unveil a brand-new collection of over 40 luxurious SCAVOLINI kitchens, bathrooms, wardrobes and living-room systems. According to him, the kitchen has different features such as glass, mat, and steel that can be customized to the client’s style and preference.
