The Kano State Fire Service said it has rescued a one-year-old chicken from a well in Kano metropolis.

Spokesman of the fire service, Saminu Yusuf Abdullahi, said: “Our formation received an emergency call at 10:12am from one Kamalu Garba of an incident at Gwalli, behind S.A.S School in Kano municipal.

“When our men reached the area at 10:15am, they found that a one-year-old rooster (chicken) fell inside a well. So they rescued it and handed it to its owner, Abdullahi Umar.
