How we poisoned, butchered our friend for ritual – Cleric

A 31-year-old Islamic scholar, Lukman Yisa, on Tuesday, narrated how the police caught his gang members with the flesh of their friend who they killed with poison.

He said two of his friends, who are now at large, approached him that they wanted to kill their friend, Wale Adefabi, because he betrayed them in a business.

According to him, when they brought the man to his house, they administered poison in his tea and that when he died they butchered his corpse and shared among themselves.

Speaking with journalists during the parade of suspects by the Commissioner of Police in the state, Adebowale Williams, on Tuesday, the cleric said two other suspects fled the town when they learnt that two of them had been arrested.

The CP, Williams, said, “Lukman Yisa was strongly suspected of engaging in ritual killing and selling of human parts. The suspect was found to be in possession of flesh suspected to be human.

“Lukman Yisa confessed to have murdered one Wale Adefabi who visited him along with his girlfriend, Layelawa Simbiat.

“The principal suspect further mentioned his accomplices in the murder of the deceased as Usman Salami, Mustapha and one BJ.

“The flesh of the deceased was recovered from the principal suspect and has been taken to the University College Hospital (UCH) for forensic analysis.”
