How we evolved from small prayer group to global organisation in 30yrs – NASFAT

The Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) has celebrated its 30th anniversary, reflecting on three decades of growth, achievements and contributions to peace and tolerance.

During a press conference in Lagos, the organisation highlighted its journey from a small prayer group to a global force, reaffirming its role as a key driver of change within the Islamic community and beyond.

NASFAT President, Alhaji Ayodeji Abdulwahid Abdulrauf, outlined the organisation’s expansion over the years, saying the Islamic group now has a presence in over 360 locations, 28 primary schools, right secondary schools, five hospitals, and its flagship tertiary institution, Fountain University.

Other notable initiatives include NAZAS, HAVEK Leadership Academy, TAFSAN Investments Limited, TAFSAN Travels & Tours, Kiin Media, NASHIN, and NASFAT Missionary Institute.

He emphasised NASFAT’s dedication to peace, tolerance, and leadership development, noting that the organisation has modernised its operations, strengthened transparency, and enhanced its online presence to meet contemporary challenges.

Chairman of the 30th Anniversary Committee, Alhaji Ishaq Kayode Osinuga, described NASFAT’s transformation into a hub for leadership development, empowerment, and Da’wah initiatives.

He urged the media to portray NASFAT as a model of Islam’s true essence and called for support during the anniversary celebrations.

The Chief Missioner, Imam AbdulAzeez Onike, highlighted NASFAT’s impact on both spiritual and social development.

National Women Affairs Secretary, Alhaja Ganiyat Omowunmi Babalola, commended NASFAT women for their achievements, while National Youth Secretary, Alhaji Olasupo, praised the mentorship and career successes of young members.

The National Elders’ Council Chairman, Alhaji Yunis Olalekan Saliu, also acknowledged the dedication of past and present leaders in fostering unity and peace.
