The opposition Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has called on Nigerians to immediately commence a protest to the National Assembly to stop the legislators from approving further loans for President Muhammadu Buhari.
Addressing newsmen in his office, the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Falalu Bello, said PRP is worried about the cost of governance in Nigeria and the way and manner the federal government is borrowing money, without the requisite will by the National Assembly to stop them.
“We ask Nigerians to start a text protest to members of the House of Representatives and the senators by asking Nigerians, particularly the youth, to reach out to the leadership of House of Representatives and Senate as well as the members representing them to protest increase in borrowings and request rejection of the current request of the executive for additional borrowing as no one with the inability to service its/her debt should additionally borrow,” he said.
