Psalm 1:1-3, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. [2] But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. [3] And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”
You were never designed to be a failed product. You were designed to be successful and prosperous. You were planted to flourish. You were designed to make steady progress. You were created for maximum impact. You were designed to be significant. You are loaded with so much potential that makes it impossible for you to be ignored. God designed you to be a champion and a giant-killer. Dominion is part of God’s original mandate for you. You are a chip off of the OLD ROCK. You are a victor and not a victim. Greatness was wired into your mandate. God created and designed you for greatness and not for mediocrity.
You are designed to be the head and not the tail. You have no business with poverty, failure or littleness. You were designed to be a high achiever. You were created to soar high like the eagle with a keen sense of vision.
The question is why do so many believers fail?

Wrong belief! Your results are traceable to your deep-seated beliefs, your convictions! Your habits! Habits are driven by deep-seated thoughts in your subconscious mind. Habit is automatic behaviour driven by deep convictions in your subconscious mind. We don’t do what we know, we do what we believe. Your conviction determines your condition because it determines your conduct. We move in the direction of our dominant thoughts. “For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:” Matthew 15:19. Don’t miss this, your thoughts determine what you attract! Your thoughts determine who and what you become. Your future is determined by what goes on in your mind. “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…” Proverbs 23:7. Success must first happen in your mind if it’s going to happen in your life! If it happens in your mind, it will happen in your life. So, whatever you don’t want to see in your life, don’t let it remain in your mind.
The most powerful tool you possess is your mind. The command and control center of your life is your mind. It is the hard drive that contains the programming by which you operate. The most precious and also the most dangerous gift God gave to man is his will. It determines how and what you choose to do and not do. And it is controlled by your subconscious mind.
A man who loses his mind has no chance of ever succeeding in life. The greatest battle on earth is the battle for control of the mind. Whoever or whatever controls your mind controls your life. Adam and Eve fell when they gave control of their minds to the devil. That was the beginning of fear, bondage, poverty, failure, and defeat. Until your mind is liberated, you will remain in bondage, you will remain defeated.
As I said earlier, it is the thought that is stored in your subconscious mind that determines your behaviour and results. Information in your conscious mind improves your knowledge but information in your subconscious mind improves your results.
How Do You Transfer Information From Your Conscious Mind To Your Subconscious Mind? The Scripture gives us the answer in Joshua 1:8, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” There is a recipe here that is unknown to many people. It is a very potent recipe for success and it’s not just meditation, it is: REPETITION! It is hidden in the phrase ‘meditate day and night’ and ‘do all that is written therein’. The secret of mastery is repetition. The secret of mastery is repetitive practice. It is hidden in the phrase ‘meditate day and night’ and ‘do all that is written therein’. The secret of mastery is repetition. Habits are formed through repetition, we master driving through repetition. It is through repetition that we develop skill. Divine revelation and principles become personal convictions through constant meditation. And as you know, we practice not just what we know but what we believe. We practice only our convictions and our practice of divine principles is what creates our results.
Meditation is so powerful it’s almost unbelievable! Meditation transfers information from your conscious mind to your heart, i.e, your subconscious mind. Meditation produces understanding and understanding produces conviction and conviction leads to your conduct and your conduct produces results. You release positive energy for amazing results through meditation.
The Word will carry force in your mouth if it carries weight in your heart. That is the reason why most believers confess the Word of God without positive result. There has to be an alignment between what you believe and what you are speaking. This is the spirit of faith and this is how it works. “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak…” 2Corinthians 4:13.
There are four things the Bible tells us to do:
1. Guard your heart against toxic thoughts. Your mind is so precious the Bible tells us to diligently protect it. Proverbs 4:23, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”
2. Secondly, renew your mind with the Word of God through meditation. Through meditation, you can convert the promises of God into your reality first in your mind; thus harnessing your imagination to redesign your future. Format your hard drive and change the programming. It’s one of the most difficult things to do. But it can be accomplished through meditation.
3. Speak your conviction.
4. Practice your convictions.
The Bible tells us what to meditate on in Philippians 4:8. Don’t meditate on your problems; meditate on the promises of God, the greatness, mercy and power of God. Meditate on His faithfulness and your faith will rise! As the picture becomes vivid in your mind a spiritual magnetic force is created to pull those things into your life. You unconsciously begin to do those things that bring the outcomes you see in your mind. Listen to Paul’s advice to Timothy, “Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.” 1Timothy 4:15. If you truly desire to prosper, practice meditation on the Word of God and putting it into practice.
Meditation is one of the ways you train your spirit to connect with divine insight and direction for cheap victory. In months and years to come, it will become increasingly easier for you to discern the voice of the Lord and the voice of your spirit for profitable living. Isaac was meditating when he saw Rebecca for the first time. Genesis 24:63-64. Those who meditate see!
God’s promises are guaranteed to come to pass if you will meditate on them constantly, believe and expect them to happen. Your fortunes will change tremendously if you keep meditating on the Word of God.
Set aside 10-15 minutes every day to meditate on the Word. This is where a daily devotional is very helpful! Follow a daily reading plan and meditate on it. Listen to tapes and read good Christian books. It takes discipline to meditate, it takes time to meditate.
The Holy Spirit will help you to develop deep convictions of scriptural truths and live by them. You will fly on the wings of divine revelation. Get ready for amazing wonders in your life from this day forward!
