How teenager died after being brutalized in Abuja

A teenager simply identified as Mustapha, last Friday, died at the Pipeline area of Kubwa, a satellite town in Bwari Area Council of the FCT.

City & Crime gathered that he died as a result of injuries suffered from internal bleeding after he was allegedly brutalized.

When our reporter visited the house of the deceased Sunday, his family members were reluctant to give the report.

A resident, Ogunleye Peter, said Mustapha was tortured two weeks ago.

“Mustapha returned home two weeks ago early in the morning with deep injuries all over his body. He was asked several times what happened to him, but he didn’t reveal it.

“He was kept at home receiving treatment thinking he was going to get better. On Thursday night he started bleeding through his anus.

“When he was rushed to Kubwa General hospital on Friday morning, it was discovered that his blood level was 10%, so they gave him blood and put him on oxygen. While in the hospital he complained of belly pains. He died in the evening,” Peter said.

Our reporter observed that the deceased was buried on Saturday, according to Islamic rites.

When contacted, Josephine Adeh, Police Public Relations Officer of the FCT, said she would get back to our reporter, but was yet to do so as at the time of filing this report late Sunday.
