Popular Nigerian crossdresser and media celebrity, Denrele Edun, has disclosed that the most difficult period of his life was the period he had a stroke that left half of his face paralysed.

He revealed this in an interview with Channels TV, saying he was really sick at one time due to the stroke.

He said the stroke left his left eye closed and changed his facial features to the point where he had trouble drinking water and had to wear haircuts to cover the damaged side of his face.

“I had just come out of having a stroke on half of my face. I was very sick but it didn’t deter me from working. My face was dropping on the right side.

“Anytime I had to drink water, it would pour out of my mouth. One of my eyes was widely opened and I lost part of my hair and I also couldn’t hear with one of my ears as well as breathe through one nostril.”

He added that he had never been a fan of sympathy so he tried as much as possible to keep it to himself even though it affected his level of delivery.
