How Police, Vigilante foiled kidnap attempt in Abuja

The police and some members of the vigilante group have foiled a kidnap attempt at a residential building behind a police station in Abaji, Abuja.
A security guard of the house, who preferred anonymity, said the kidnapers invaded the house around 1:am on Sunday, after some of the kidnappers scaled through the fence.
He said some of the kidnappers took stategic positions, while others surrounded the house.
According to him, one of the kidnappers shot into the air, which he said attracted the attention of the police and some vigilante members that immediately engaged them in a shoot-out.
“It was after one them scaled through the fence and I grabbed and started struggling with him, in which other gangs outside started shooting sporadically, but luckily enough, the police and some vigilante members also engaged them in shoot-out,” he said.
