A Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officer attached to the Port Harcourt, Rivers State Command, Mr Daniel Kokorifa, has alleged that men of the Anti-Vice unit of the Bayelsa Police Command killed his 17 years old son, Innocent Kokorifa.
He told Bayelsa Judicial Panel on Police Brutality and related extra-judicial killings that his son was shot in the back while on an errand in August 2016 in Okaka-Epie area, Yenagoa LGA.

Another petitioner, 81-year-old grandfather, Chief Lucky Amakiri, alleged that his grandson, Blessing Amakiri, was shot dead by the men of Ekeki Police Division on mere suspicion of belonging to a cult group.
Chief Amakiri said his grandson, 19, was killed while on errand at the former Oyoyo Market in Ovom area of Yenagoa.
The families of two police officers killed on June 14, 2020 in Ughelli, Delta State allegedly by men of the disbanded Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad while on special duty alongside five other policemen also petitioned the panel.
